Sadly…

A while back, I put all of my files from the computer’s hard drive onto my 2gig flash drive. It’s really cool. It’s as small as it can possibly be and still fit in a USB port, and it folds in. Every time I’ve handed it to a teacher, they commented about its size.

Today, I was supposed to do a presentation for a class, so I gave the teacher my flash drive, he copied the PowerPoint file off it, and he gave it back. I went back to the computer where I was working and plugged it in to take notes on my PowerPoint for when it was my turn to present.

I did my presentation with the help of my notes and sat back down. I listened to the other students after me present. Then the class ended.

I logged off the computer, packed up my stuff and went.

I forgot to unplug my flash drive.

This evening, the school was having a movie night, so I asked the teacher if he had seen my flash drive because I’d accidentally left it in. He said no, but we could check. So I went back to the desk where I had worked this morning and my flash drive wasn’t there.

All of my files are gone.

Bye-bye game.

So Castle Quest is dead, Quazar is more dead than it ever was before, and I’m temporarily quitting VX.

I’m not leaving software development behind, though. I’m going to buy my dad’s old laptop from him and it has Adobe CS2 and Adobe CS4 on it. CS4 includes Flash, if you didn’t know. And if you don’t know what Flash is, well…

I’m going to try learning actionscript 3 and C#/++. I can make Flash apps with actionscript, and just about any Windows program with C#. I would like to make iPhone apps, however, I hate iProducts, I don’t have a Mac, and if I did I wouldn’t be interested in paying Apple $100 a year to host my app on their store.

Oh, and I might use Ubuntu mostly because it seems pretty cool.

And that sums up my day today. Good night!
