Bye bye
I won’t post any new posts.
That’s all.
I won’t post any new posts.
That’s all.
What’s up people?!
Yesterday I installed Ubuntu on my laptop. It’s very cool. I’ll add a more detailed post with pictures later. Time to do laundry.
A while back, I put all of my files from the computer’s hard drive onto my 2gig flash drive. It’s really cool. It’s as small as it can possibly be and still fit in a USB port, and it folds in. Every time I’ve handed it to a teacher, they commented about its size.
Today, I was supposed to do a presentation for a class, so I gave the teacher my flash drive, he copied the PowerPoint file off it, and he gave it back. I went back to the computer where I was working and plugged it in to take notes on my PowerPoint for when it was my turn to present.
I did my presentation with the help of my notes and sat back down. I listened to the other students after me present. Then the class ended.
I logged off the computer, packed up my stuff and went.
I forgot to unplug my flash drive. Read more
I have not died, been kidnapped, caught some strange Antarctican disease that turns me purple, or mysteriously disappeared in a UFO accident. That is all.
Oh, and I’ve been real busy with school.
There’s school again really soon. Like, Wednesday soon. Going to not one, but two new schools.
Hopefully I can find people that I fit in with in at least one of them.
It would totally suck if I couldn’t.
But here’s something unrelated. You’re probably thinking Oh, god. It’s the GAME, isn’t it? And you’re right. It is the game.
I am no longer going to post about the game unless it’s something really important such as Finished the Prologue or Completed the Game or something like that. The only reason I post little crap like Back to Work or the EBS is because I’m too lazy to actually try for my posts. Every day I look at Freshly Pressed posts and think I wish MY blog was on Freshly Pressed. Well, it can be. I just need to put in some effort. That means no more lazy posts likeĀ DERP I finished a map DERP.
I’m going to do something productive now. Bye.
Oh right. I’m changing my name from PPM to Eric until I change my mind because I don’t like PPM anymore. He’s just not for me. I’m going to use my actual first name.
OK, now I’m really done with this post.
I’m considering continuing my old comic series, BG. It’ll be a little different than the old ones (no more unicorn) since they’re partially based on real-life experiences.
I won’t have a lot of time for full-length blog posts, but comics are fun so whatever.
I’ll try to post a new one at least once a week but maybe less than that. Who says that one funny thing will happen every week?
All right. Back to work on Castle Quest. I don’t know if I’ll continue updating the EBS because I don’t really like it that much and not many people have shown interest.
I’m working on sprites for Castle Quest now. Then I’ll do some more mapping and finish up a cutscene.
The prologue will then be complete. Only 21 more chapters after that… Whoopee.
EBS is (as far as I know) VX’s first evented battle system. It has the full features of a basic battle system. The only thing missing is the ability to fight multiple enemies or use multiple actors.
In terms of looks, it’s similar to the battle system Chrono Trigger has. But in terms of function, it’s a little more like Pokemon’s battle system crossbred with Golden Sun’s.
And even though the enemies level up with you, they still get easy after awhile.
One thing that I still need to do is offensive skills for the player. Right now, you can enter the menu and use an unlimited number of positive skills, but there’s not support for offensive skills ATM. It’s easy enough to do, but I’m feeling sorta lazy since school starts soon.
In any case, try it out, have fun, post, and most importantly, tell me what you think!
Version 1 of the EBS is almost ready. Right now I’m trying to make it more efficient and finish anything I left undone.
The demo features 3 regular enemies and one boss. Each of them showcases the possibilities. For example, enemies are no longer limited by percents as to what they can do skill-wise. You can set it so that they use it at a specific HP value or lower. Also, you can set the enemy’s level.
There’s an EXP and G formula that gives you EXP and G based on your stats at the end of the battle and how quickly you beat the enemy.
I’ll post a demo and screenshots in a while.
